Interested in how some places endow a mythical aura to a foreign gaze, I have been interested in the way Schengen, where the eponymous agreement was signed in 1985, allowing free movement of people and goods for some European countries, epitomises a modern Eldorado to many.
The installation mimics a souvenir shop and a large wonder cabinet, where the series of artefacts generates a reflection on national and historical narratives.
